In keeping with the core philosophy of sustainable manufacturing, INTER-TECH METALWORKS INC. has pioneered a “Shipment Single Carbon Forecast System,” enabling customers to clearly understand the estimated carbon emissions of each product with every purchase, thereby enhancing supply chain transparency and supporting informed decision-making.. As the first sheet metal fabrication company in Taiwan to simultaneously pass three international certifications of ISO 9001, ISO14064-1 and ISO 14067, Steel not only relies on quality, but also actively implements environmental responsibilities, achieving specific practices on supply chain transparency and carbon disclosure.

Second, introduction of the system

Steel adds a “This order forecast carbon emissions (kgCO₂e)” field to each shipment order, providing estimated carbon footprint data for products from raw materials, processes, energy use, packaging to transportation phases. This data is based on models established by ISO 14064-1 (Organization Greenhouse Gas Inventory) and ISO 14067 (Product Carbon Footprint) verified by third parties, and the emission factor is updated quarterly to ensure that the methodology complies with the latest international standards and data transparency principles.

This system helps customers gain an edge in ESG, Scope3 supply chain disclosure and carbon neutral strategies, and demonstrates the long-term commitment of TD Steel to support its customers' sustainable transformation and enhanced industrial chain competitiveness, while supporting international regulations such as the EU CBAM (Carbon Boundary Adjustment Mechanism) and the US SEC ESG disclosure. Customers can make purchasing decisions and reporting disclosures based on the carbon emissions data shown on the bill of lading to establish traceable, discoverable, and reliable low-carbon supply chain partnerships.
