Sheet Metal Processing Concept

Sheet metal processing and sheet metal processing are easy to misunderstand, simply that sheet metal machining focuses on sheet metal (typically less than 6 mm thick) through a series of processes such as laser cutting, bending, punching and welding to produce parts or products of the desired shape and function. In contrast, sheet metal machining, or sheet metal forming, is an important stage in sheet metal processing. Sheet metal forming is used to form metal sheets using bending, stamping, stretching, etc., to achieve processes of specific shapes and sizes. Sheet metal forming is widely used in the manufacturing of automotive housings and parts. Based on the many years of processing experience at the Steel Metal Fabrication Plant, sheet metal processing is more widely discussed, so the next discussion mainly uses sheet metal processing as a substitute.

On September 26, 2025, Xinguang Steel held its third Supplier Conference on “Steel's Sustainable, Connected Ecological Future”, focusing on sustainable development strategies and future trends. Steel Metal is proud to share the history and benefits of certification with industry leaders at the Supplier Conference. We also look forward to advancing Taiwan's manufacturing industry into the international market together through shared common ideas.

Sheet Metal Fabrication Process

The core process of sheet metal processing consists mainly of the three main steps of laser cutting, bending forming and welding assembly. In addition, post-cutting edge grinding, alignment of workpieces and coating operations are also the quality keys to sheet metal processing. The following is an introduction to the three main processes.

The event invited Steel Metals to share a sustainable business section, focusing mainly on how to partner with KPMG to get ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14067 as a mainstay of ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14067, as well as to boost business and brand after certification. CEO Liu Zi-ming is confident and hopeful that he can continue to work with international groups such as Taiwan's Chowloon Po and KPMG, and to follow their footsteps into the international market, and hopes that more of his peers can work towards this goal.

After sharing the meeting, we also visited Steel Metal. The factory showed the large folding machine TruBend 8320 (6 m) and the laser cutter TruLaser 3060 (6 m), with a maximum cutting power of 24KW, all from the most advanced technology and models from TRUMPF Germany. The importance of the environment, our employees and our customers also impressed our visiting colleagues, and we look forward to seeing more of our colleagues working together to pass ISO certification and make their way onto the international stage after this journey.
